The Muezzin calls the adhan
But no one pays heed.
I wonder...
Is it the people whose hearts have grown cold
Or is it the muezzin whose voice holds no emotion?

The imam recites the khutbah
But the mosque is almost empty.
I wonder...
Is it the people who are too concerned with their worldly lives
Or is it the Imam who does not care about the people's lives?

We all criticize the "Muslim Ummah"
But I wonder...
Who are we criticizing, if not ourselves?
